Venue:
Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland

Main objective of the activity

The aim of the training was to provoke in the PC partners an environmental analysis, an environmental immersion and finally a period of practice and interaction with European colleagues.

Description of the activity

After the first 3 training actions the identified KT professionals performed a practical training in Glasgow Caledonian University. They had an intensive training of the KT Centres of Excellence managers through their involvement in management and daily work at Knowledge Transfer units at EU institutions, and the verification of the lessons learned in the first 3 training modules. Taking into account the experience of the partners in specific areas, the trainees were accommodated as follows:

Delegates from Egypt and Morocco

Dates: 17 - 21 October 2011

Venue: Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland

Organiser: Glasgow Caledonian University

Results of the training

As result of this activity visitors from PC will be involved in the KT, TT and innovation activities of a European counterpart (environmental immersion). This gave the opportunity to the visitor to find out about the history of the local Knowledge Transfer unit and processes, background and functioning. An environment analysis was carried out by the visitor, by studying the different services offered, with the final result of an increased knowledge in this area which was applied later in their institutions. Special attention was taken to technology services structure and functioning.
