Seminar "The University's role in promoting innovation in Tunisian companies"

Introduction:

Under the Medinnoall Project, funded by the European Tempus Programme, Sousse, Jendouba and Zaghouan's HIT have established Innovation and Technology Transfer Offices (BITT). They are focused on improving the competitiveness of Tunisian economic operators and making available all human skills and existing infrastructure.

To initiate this cooperation BITT-Industry, a seminar was held on March 8th, 2012 at HIT Sousse. Two workshops were planned as part of the seminar, they were focused on the relationship University - Business and mechanisms of financing for innovative projects, individual meetings between academics and business leaders are expected to discuss the possibility of cooperation and specifically in the following areas: food processing, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering.

 

General Objective:

Demystifying the contribution of Tunisian university's innovation and technology transfer to Tunisian economic operators to build lasting partnerships.

 

Specific objectives:

  • Expose the benefits that may be provided by the network of HIT in technology transfer and innovation;
  • Position the network as a HIT partner in innovation and technology transfer;
  • Expose the legal framework of partnership that can be implemented between the Enterprise and BITT;
  • Expose the funding provision in technology transfer and innovation;
  • Initiate discussions to develop partnership actions between HIt and some of these companies.

  

Results of the seminar:

Guide in 2012 at least five Tunisian companies in their strategies for research and development / transfer and assist in assembling financing files.
